Channa Chaat, 20/11-07

mat-014bb.jpgThis is a very popular dish in Pakistan and is eaten frequently when out shopping. As we eat a burger or sandwich, here in Norway. It can be best described as a salad and you cant get healthier salad then this! It is made of Garbanzo beans (your protein source), boiled potatoes (carbs), onions, tomatoes, fresh coriander, fresh mint leaves, tamarind sauce, salt and chaat masala. My mom taught me this dish and I love it, and can eat loads of it!

Made it yesterday…and it was finished in a jiffy!

    Well its mouth watering and one of my favorites in salads.You can’t have better dish than Channa chat prepared, served and finished within minutes.
    Most of people used to change its flavor by adding some quantity of Red Beans, which are richer source of proteins and carb.
    Just give it a go :o)

    Right about the “prepared, served and finished in minutes” 🙂 I dont like red beans though…. not in a channa chaat at least. With some regular salad maybe, with some lettuce, tomatoes, olives, cucumber and EVOO.

    I am more of a carb person….

    i dont like channa chat i only like 2 eat chicken nd nthng else. i m surprised 2 c dat people like it!amazing!
